II.1.4) Trumpas aprašymas:
Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) intends to award a contract for the provision of specialist hospital relocation planning and patient transfer coordination services, to support the consolidation of paediatric services from its existing acute sites in Dublin (Crumlin, Temple Street, and paediatric services at Tallaght) into the new purpose‑built Children’s Hospital located on the St. James’s campus. The services include detailed patient transfer planning, transfer protocols, risk mitigation strategies, transport logistics, mock transfer exercises, and full transfer‑day coordination.
The relocation of multiple live paediatric acute hospitals into a single large scale national children’s hospital is unprecedented in Ireland and presents significant clinical, logistical, and operational risk. The transition to the new children’s hospital involves critical, time dependent, safety sensitive operations where failure or disruption may impact patient care and national paediatric acute services. Due to the significant operational and clinical risk, CHI requires a provider with a demonstrated track record of delivering similar complex transitions with zero service downtime and assured continuity of care. The project requires a service provider with deep, demonstrable, and specialised expertise in whole hospital relocation, particularly those involving acute paediatric care.
The name of the proposed contractor is Health Care Relocations (HCR). CHI has identified HCR as the only provider able to meet the unique combination of scale, complexity, and specialist expertise required for this project. HCR has over 30 years of exclusive healthcare relocation experience and has completed more than 500 hospital relocations internationally. They bring robust methodologies, including patient‑focused planning, risk mitigation, detailed transfer protocols, and continuity‑of‑care strategies.
No other provider identified by CHI possesses comparable specialist capabilities or equivalent experience of paediatric and acute hospital moves at this scale, risk level, and clinical complexity.
