The aim of the project is to carry out an updated assessment of ecological condition in Norwegian forest ecosystems in accordance with the index method and follow-up development needs. Based on new national targets for forests, verna forest and forest are also wanted to be assessed separately if the data basis is assessed well enough. The condition assessments shall be carried out at both national and regional levels. If it is assessed that the data basis is good enough, it should also be assessed at the county level.
