Landsvirkjun, Iceland’s National Power Company, is the largest producer of electricity in the country, is inviting contractors to participate in a preliminary market consultation (PMC) for the enlargement of the headrace tunnel in Sultartangi Power station. The headrace tunnel has a cross-sectional area of approximately 152 m². Landsvirkjun intends to increase the tunnel cross-area by 40 m² by lowering the tunnel invert by 4.5 m.
