II.1.4) Trumpas aprašymas:
This is a voluntary ex ante transparency (VEAT) notice. This notice acknowledges that Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) proposes to contract with Medtronic Ireland Ltd for the supply, commissioning, maintenance and continued support of a Stealth Autoguide robotic guidance system.
CHI currently operates a Medtronic StealthStation S8 Navigation system paired with a Medtronics Midas Rex MR8 drill system to support navigated cranial procedures. Both systems are under service contract with Medtronic Ireland Ltd. To enable the implementation of stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) procedures for epilepsy treatment, the neurosurgical team requires the Medtronic Stealth Autoguide system. The Stealth Autoguide is a proprietary accessory designed specifically for integration with the StealthStation S8 navigation and Midas Rex MR8 drill systems and is essential for accurate electrode placement during SEEG.
Alternative robotic guidance systems are not compatible with the Medtronic StealthStation navigation platform and cannot be used to support SEEG procedures in this context. Medtronic has confirmed this exclusivity.
Currently, paediatric epilepsy patients requiring SEEG are referred to another adult hospital under a service level agreement. This arrangement places a burden on patients and families. The procurement of the Stealth Autoguide system will enable CHI to conduct SEEG procedures in-house, improving continuity of care and clinical outcomes.
There are no technically, clinically, financially, or administratively reasonable or viable alternative or substitute solutions that could be implemented other than the Medtronic Autoguide system.
