The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) is an important public body at the centre of housing in Ireland, delivering important services to those living and working in the rental sector. In recent years, the RTB has gone through a significant period of change and transformation. These changes have resulted in the growth of the organization's workforce, which has almost doubled in size in recent years; has introduced new legislation which has changed how we deliver our services; and has strengthened our regulatory powers through the introduction of a new investigatory and sanction power when breaches of the legislation are identified. The RTB anticipates a continued trajectory of growth and development, significant legislative change is being implemented in Q1 2026, which will include changes to the workforce structure; continued development of the organisations’ skills and capabilities to ensure our staff are developed to effectively deliver key services; and the identification of new and effective working models. A strategic objective of the RTB is to ensure the organisational structure and governance model is fit for purpose as the organisation continues to grow and develop. The RTB requires the development of a future Workforce Plan and Organisational Review to enable the organisation to deliver on its strategic objectives and to ensure that the RTB is adequately resourced to do so. The RTB is hoping to work with consultants from various disciplines which may include general consultancy, legal services, information governance and financial advisory services.
