SBB Telecom is currently undergoing a modernization process for its networks and production platform. This includes the renewal of the data and mobile network across Switzerland in the coming years. Additionally, there is a need to replace or modernize tools in the OSS/BSS area, aiming towards an integrated production platform. One important component of this procurement is the Multi Domain Service Orchestrator (MDSO). The MDSO will act as a central platform for automating and orchestrating the delivery and management of services across various network domains, including data, security, and cellular networks. Additionally, a service assurance solution will be integrated to detect any irregularities in the services and enable appropriate measures to be taken. The MDSO plays a crucial role in ensuring interoperability among various providers and technologies, thus guaranteeing smooth and efficient service delivery for SBB Telecom. This platform will not only facilitate the delivery of the anticipated 100,000 services but also monitor them using the Service Assurance component, so that, in case of any irregularities, prompt action can be taken. Furthermore, the platform is responsible for orchestrating and monitoring network resources. For future network development, SBB aims to implement the zero-touch installation approach to automatically deploy the new networks. The goal is to utilize this approach for approximately 20,000 network devices in the new data network and around 1,800 RAN (Radio Access Network) sites in the mobile communications sector. These devices and sites will need to be efficiently put into operation and monitored. The solution being sought should optionally support the implementation of this approach. The MDSO production platform must support modernization towards open interfaces, decoupling of functions, and a scalable and open architecture. SBB is seeking a provider who embraces agile collaboration and follows modern software development approaches
