There is a need for sample containers with a closed formalin system.  The sample container shall be used for fixation, transport and storage of tissue between sample collection and sample reception. The sample container shall be able to be filled with formalin in a closed system, so that the exposure of formalin is minimised. The sample container is intended to be used at locations without sufficient protective equipment, such as fume cupboards, in order to provide HSE for the sample collector.
