The Fjellhus - Breivoll area in the Alna district needs renovation of the water and sewage installations due to capacity problems. Due to bad falls between inlet and outlet, as well as a small dimension of the current waste water pipeline, the capacity of the wastewater network in the project area is very poor. To prevent sewage water from being washed out in the Alna River, the pipeline must be burned out. The choice of solution to achieve the desired effect has been closely assessed and consideration has been taken into account in the economy, environment, time consumption and operation of the plant. Systems that have been assessed include excavation, blocking out, stocking, controlled drilling, retention magazine with and without pumps. Due to the location (length, total fall, access to pipeline etc.), it has been assessed that as little excavations as possible are advantageous. The pipeline is located very deep in some places and there are quick clay in the area. This is a scary combination. Excavation free methods do not solve the problem of falls or exceed the contracting authority ́s budget. The requested full power installations will provide an optimal system for all of these points. The full power system requires that a special valve is used. This valve can only be delivered by Aiwell, who has a patent for the requested product (patent no. is 345582). It is necessary that the tenderer of the valve carries out testing and dimensioning that is covered by the side obligation.
