According to act no. 112/2008, article 39, Icelandic Health Insurance is responsible for negotiating service contracts with nursing home service providers. Icelandic Health Insurance (Sjúkratryggingar Íslands) seeks to make contracts with legal entities for long-term and short term nursing home services. The Icelandic government has secured facilities where they intend to offer long-term and/or short-term nursing home services.
A restricted tender procedure will be conducted, whereby only those economic operators who have expressed their interest and who meet the stipulated qualification criteria and legal requirements shall be invited to participate.
Detailed information regarding the procurement procedure will be set out in the tender documents. Estimated total value: Value excluding VAT: For five nursing homes: 61.200.000.000 ISK for five years, with authorization to expand the service agreement with regard to the increase in rooms and therefore a concurrent increase in value.
This notice is a call for competition. Interested operators must inform the contracting authority of their interest in the contract(s) and must state company name, full address, company‘s registration number, telephone, email address and contacts full name.
The contract(s) will be awarded without publication of a further call for competition.
The period covered by this prior information notice will be 36 months.
