Das Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik (IPP) mit Sitz in Garching bei
München betreibt an seinem Standort
in Greifswald (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) ein Fusionsexperiment vom Typ Stellarator, den Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X). W7-X hat die Aufgabe, die Eignung des Stellarators als wünschenswerte Alternative zum Tokamak auf dem Weg zu einem Fusionskraftwerk zu demonstrieren.

Im Rahmen dieses Projekts benötigt der Kunde IPP den Ersatz und die Aufrüstung des
vorhandenen Kalibrierungslasers für die Kohärenzabbildungsspektroskopie (CIS).

The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP), with its headquarter in Garching near
Munich, operates a stellarator-type fusion experiment, the Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), at its site in Greifswald (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). W7-X has the task of demonstrating the suitability of the stellarator as a desirable alternative to the tokamak on the way to a fusion power plant.

In the context of this project, the customer IPP requires the replacement and upgrade of the
current calibration laser for the Coherence Imaging Spectroscopy (CIS) diagnostic.
