    II.1.4) Trumpas aprašymas:

Center for Visualizing Catalytic Processes (VISION), funded by DNRF (Danish National Research Foundation) and Technical University of Denmark (DTU), wants to enter into a Service Agreement for its one-of-its-kind dynamic environmental aberration-corrected transmission electron microscope (MICROSCOPE) which was purchased from Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2020. The MICROSCOPE is located at DTU and paid jointly by DNRF and DTU. The MICROSCOPE is key for VISION in reaching its ambitious research goal of relating the atomic structure, dynamics and function of single nanoparticles during catalysis and combines for the first time (1) quantitative electron microscopy (EM) for retrieving the 3D atomic structure of nano-scale objects, enabled by a new aberration-corrector for the objective lens in TEM mode achieving 50 pm resolution, (2) time-resolution spanning milli- to tens of seconds to follow progression of catalysis, using high-sensitive charged-coupled and directed electron detection cameras, (4) in situ EM of nanostructure during exposure to reactive gas environments, enabled by a new open gas cell architecture in a true-power objective lens, (5) spatiotemporal-resolved spectroscopy of nanostructures and catalysis and (6) detection sensitivity to suppress of beam-induced sample alterations, using Nelssionian illumination.
