The scope of this contract is the preparations for the repair work of the EstLink 2 electricity transmission connection between Finland and Estonia, which was damaged on Christmas Day. Preliminary work for the repair will be carried out at sea. The preparatory measures will reduce the risks associated with the repair work and refine the details of the actual repair plan. The remaining sections of the cable will be tested for integrity and then lowered back to the seabed, sealed, to await final repair. The work being done under this contract will shorten the duration of the actual repair work, as some of the tasks can be completed in advance. The HVDC link EstLink 2 is jointly owned by Fingrid Oyj and Elering AS.
