II.1.4) Trumpas aprašymas:
Since 2008 FH Campus Wien has been educating health care and nursing professionals in accordance with state-of-the-art university standards for upper-level service for health care and nursing in a Bachelor's degree programme. For many years, this programme has been provided in cooperation with Wiener Gesundheitsverbund (Vienna Healthcare Group) as well. The Vienna Healthcare Group is Austria's largest health care provider, operated by the City of Vienna, and includes 8 clinics and 9 nursing homes in Vienna as well as one therapy centre outside of Vienna. Some 30,000 employees work for the Vienna Healthcare Group. Due to the upcoming retirement wave and the current shortage of health care professionals in Europe covering the staffing requirements in upper-level health care and nursing in Vienna entirely from the pool of graduates of the existing Bachelor programmes in the coming years will not be possible. In order to reduce the shortage of professionals and fulfil its care mission, the Vienna Healthcare Group and FH Campus Wien have jointly developed the "#Nurses4Vienna" training and funding programme for health care and nursing professionals that have undergone tertiary training in third countries (countries which are neither Member States of the European Union nor part of the European Economic Area). The objective of this training and funding programme is a coordinated and socially acceptable process for recruiting health care and nursing professionals who have completed tertiary training in third countries, in line with the World Health Organization's "Global Code of Practice on the International Recruitment of Health Personnel", and to provide profound vocational training in Austria in that field to prepare those who participate in the programme for working in upper-level service for health care and nursing with the Vienna Healthcare Group. In addition to professional training the focus is on social and language integration. The Vienna Healthcare Group and FH Campus Wien closely cooperate in implementing the training and funding programme; the costs for participation are borne by the Vienna Healthcare Group under the funding programme. FH Campus Wien has already carried out a “#Nurses4Vienna” Open-House Admission Procedure addressing suitable universities interested in entering into a cooperation agreement with FH Campus Wien in the context of the "#Nurses4Vienna" training and funding programme. The first Open-House Admission Procedure was closed at the end of June 2024. Under the present “#Nurses4Vienna2” Open-House Admission Procedure FH Campus Wien plans to cooperate with suitable partner universities with respect to a maximum of 250 further persons that are intended to be admitted to the "#Nurses4Vienna2" training and funding programme.
The objective of the present "Open-House Admission Procedure„#Nurses4Vienna2“" is therefore to identify suitable partner universities and to enter into a cooperation agreement with them as described in Chapter B of the procedural documents. In this process all tenderers applying for admission will be allowed to participate in the present Open-House Admission Procedure (i.e. conclusion of a cooperation agreement) on equal terms, provided that they meet the requirements and have submitted a proper admission application. One of the basic requirements for eligibility as a partner university is that the institution is a post-secondary educational institution that enjoys university status in its country of incorporation and offers an accredited Bachelor's degree study programme in the field of health care and nursing of at least three years. The requirements for admission to the present Open-House Admission Procedure are regulated in detail in Section 3 of the Rules of Procedure (Chapter A of the procedural documents). For the avoidance of doubt only persons who have completed relevant studies in health care and nursing at a post-secondary educational institution incorporated in a third country may participate in the "#Nurses4Vienna2" training and funding programme. Thus, in the view of FH Campus Wien, participation in the present cooperation programme will be of biggest utility to post-secondary educational institutions with their seat in third countries. However, FH Campus Wien points out that post-secondary educational institutions based in the European Union are not excluded from participation. For further information please refer to the Rules of Procedure (Chapter A of the procedural documents) as well as the other procedural documents available at www.fh-campuswien.ac.at/nurses4vienna2.
