The framework agreement is for the procurement of transport for visits from foreign
heads of state, government members and other assignments, including major conferences, meetings
etc. in addition to general use in the Ministry.
Visits — be it work visits, official visits or government visits — are an important
platform for creating a impact on Norwegian interests. Through good
planning processes, well-rounded priorities, a clear profile and overall expression as well as steady
implementation can ensure the relevance and impact of the visits.
The term VIP is used as a definition of heads of state, heads of government,
foreign ministers, professional ministers and other managers at a high level for the relevant
visit, whether it be the Foreign Minister, Development Minister or Prime Minister who is
host of the visit. King is the official host of the visit during a state visit to Norway. VIP
travel with an official delegation of 2 to 14 people depending on the rank and level of the visit.
A typical visitor assignment will include 1 VIP car or protocol vehicle (limo/sedan) as well as 1-3 minivan.
