Open Market Consultation (OMC) to prepare for a Pre–Commercial Procurement (PCP) to buy research and development services to utilise European satellite data to dynamically manage public urban spaces in municipalities. This PIN provides early information about the expected starting date and about the Open Market Consultation (OMC) which is organised in preparation for this Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP). The purpose of the PCP is to trigger new solutions to be developed and tested to address the following challenge: "Via smart exploitation of space-based data services through Galileo GNSS and Copernicus earth observation programs, the SPACE4Cities project aims to trigger replicable, new solutions for the dynamic management of public spaces. Better, more dynamic management of public areas is needed to answer a concrete need for cities and regions to adapt to fast-changing requirements for infrastructure, public spaces and city maintenance, and to increase their resilience to cope with extreme and disruptive events or weather conditions." All interested operators are invited to take part in an Open Market Consultation (OMC) regardless of their geographic location, the size or governance structure of their organisation. The Open Market Consultation is scheduled to last until 30th of November 2024, taking place prior to the publishing of the Call for Tender, which is planned for mid-January 2025. The OMC aims to create knowledge and awareness about the project, the process and the main clauses of the contract. It also aims to reach out to potential suppliers all over Europe and overall to prepare for the PCP. In addition, the OMC is notably also set up to allow for interactive discussion with the market about the feasibility and innovation-level of the foreseen use cases and their functional requirements. It allows the consortium to gain better insights on the market, the state-of-the art technology and expected future developments. To this aim, there will be surveys, webinars and Q&A possibilities. The OMC will be held in English, complemented by local-language webinars. All OMC activities, including surveys, webinar dates and content, a Q&A website section as well as registration information will be published on the project website (space4cities.eu),
